The 2023 annual programme

Corporate University members, who found great value in the first GlobalCCU Membership Community programme (March to June 2022), are enthusiastic to continue!

On the basis of their assessment and with the support of a working group of members, we are excited to launch an annual programme, open to all CU peers, including the following activities:

CUs learn from CUs CUs find solutions with CUs CUs go forward for CUs

I – Corporate University BEST PRACTICES workshops

CUs learn from CUs

They are intensive meetings focused on best innovative practice nuggets of the members, selected by GlobalCCU and the Membership Coordinators organised around the topics: People, Business, Culture, Corporate University Strategic & Operational efficiency, Society, Technologies, Ecological environment already familiar to the award winners and attendees at the 2021 GlobalCCU Forum.

Purpose

To learn from the experiences of each other, to nurture the strategy and the management of their Corporate University, to evaluate, through discussion and debates, in a trustful atmosphere, the opportunity, or not, to implement these best practices in their own context.

Unique added value:

  • Deep interactions in a close circle of known members which supersedes superficiality or the sole purpose of communication
  • Knowledge from experience belongs to the Corporate University community and cannot been bought in the market
  • Valorisation of the Corporate Universities selected by GlobalCCU and the Membership Community Governance Authority (one representative from each Company member) for their outstanding practices

Temporal time: Past

Programme

The Corporate University best practice workshops programme and schedule will be defined by the Membership Community Governance Authority given a selection of best practice nuggets of the members.

Agenda of each workshop event:

  • Presentation of the meeting by GlobalCCU (5’)
  • Presentation of the best practice (55’)
  • Q&A (15’)
  • Debates on potential transferability and implementation in another context (60’)
  • Individual lessons learnt and roundtable discussion (30’)
  • Conclusion on the future I need / I can help working group solutions (15’)

Organisation

  • Four Corporate University best practice workshops will be organised.
  • Each workshop will be prepared and presented by one, or several Corporate Universities from different countries and cultures. The outcomes of their preparation will be shared with all the GlobalCCU Membership members during a three-hour online workshop event, giving everyone the opportunity to benchmark, learn and find ideas of progress for their own Corporate University.
  • Each Corporate University invited to present a best practice nugget will organise their own workshop:
    • Preparation of the best practice nugget following a standard format provided by GlobalCCU
    • Provision of the most relevant and inspiring content, including videos and other materials
    • Elaboration of the detailed programme of the three-hour workshop event
    • Lessons learnt will be shared and communicated with the attendees.

II - I NEED / I CAN HELP working groups for SOLUTIONS

CUs find solutions with CUs

They are groups of exchange that consist of

  • listening to the ‘I need issue(s) or opportunity to seize’ shared, analysing the context
  • then listening to the ‘I can help’ of the CUs who have a strong experience in similar situations,
  • and, together with the other members, help to guide to the most efficient and pragmatic solution possible and to ways of development.

Purpose

To provide an unmissable workspace and an indispensable source of exchange for the members, beneficiaries and contributors alternatively, to solve true issues or to seize opportunities of development for the benefit of their Company / Organisation.

This allows them to benefit from each other’s expertise to find effective solutions to their CU issues and gain time and money, thanks to the strategic and pragmatic support of the Community.

Unique added value:

  • Peers behave like consultants, without taking decisions in the place of the owners of the issue or opportunity discussed.
  • No competition between members and no exchange of money
  • Valorisation of the Corporate Universities selected by the Membership Governance Authority for their capacity to help and guide their peers
  • Recognition of the Corporate University brand by the peers participating in the process

Temporal time: Present

Programme

  • The programme of the ‘I need / I can help’ working groups for Solutions will be defined by the Membership Community Governance Authority and GlobalCCU based on those already exposed during the first programme and from among the members of the second programme invited to list their ‘I need / I can help’ issues or opportunities to solve.
  • The working group work culminates at the four-hour virtual event hosted by the owner, or one of the owners of the issue or opportunity.

  • No further collective cooperation.

III - STUDY GROUP on learning value chain integration
with digital innovation and research

CUs go forward for CUs

The study group is a cluster of members who investigate together the evolution of the profession in the digitisation of the economy, to shape its future and identify the best conditions of their durable impact and integration on the learning value chain, internally and externally, and then report their findings or recommendations.

Purpose

To co-create and share a basis of reference on the learning value chain integration with digital innovation research concept, stakes, with their advantages and limits, and application across different cultures, geographical locations and activity sectors.

Unique added value:

  • Professionals of Corporate Universities are the only people who know the essence of their strategic positioning and the strengths and weaknesses of their ecosystem and stakeholders. Therefore, they are pragmatically and efficiently in a situation to make their voice heard in the anticipation of what their learning value chain will be and how it will be integrated with digital innovation and research.
  • Strength of a white paper issued by Corporate University professionals

Temporal time: Future

Programme

  • The activity will be around qualifying and reviewing literature and practice on digital learning, innovation and research and compiling them as a conceptual framework. Then the subsequent meetings will discuss the draft, providing member perspectives based on our own practices.
  • The Study group’s work will culminate at the end of June (before the closing event) with the production of a white paper shared with all GlobalCCU Community members.

Organisation

  • The GlobalCCU Study group will gather members to carry out research on the expanse of the subject and propose new avenues to deploy, analysing the opportunities and limits of their action.
  • The Study group will be coordinated by Jemy Vestius Confido, Senior General Manager PT Telkom Corporate University, (Indonesia) and a GlobalCCU consultant.
  • The Study group will be run as a light project with regular team meetings for information sharing, brainstorming and documenting.
  • The team will decide on the schedule, agenda and roles needed to reach the objective of the study group, as well as identify potential sources of information and expertise needed from inside the Community. Vendors cannot be solicited to support the working group.
