2025 GlobalCCU Forum in Paris

Day 1

Opening Forum

Annick Renaud-Coulon extended a warm welcome to all the delegates who had travelled from around the world to the beautiful city of Paris and the Hôtel de l’Industrie in the heart of Paris, France.

Elena Zlobina, Business Development and Partnership Manager introduced our esteemed partners and Michelle Leynaud, Business and Communications Manager presented the programme of the event.

Anil Santhapuri, Head Academy for Management and Leadership Excellence @ TVS Motor Company,  presented the objectives of the day. He did an amazing job helping to create a fantastic atmosphere and guiding the programme in a very focused and effective way throughout the two days of the Forum.

Stream 1 – Corporate University, a unique strategic and operational lever for solving critical issues in our disrupted world and for seizing development opportunities

Half inside, half outside their parent organisation, Corporate Universities have acquired extensive experience in solving issues and seizing development opportunities that many governments and non-governmental organisations are unfortunately not able to face anymore. Corporate Universities are pragmatic, highly skilled and have resources and technologies that give them significant power to act. Affected by technological and scientific innovations that they help to popularise, including today’s artificial intelligence, they are also engaged in the batlle against social disorders and the impact of global warming on their ecosystem.

A glimpse into the ‘Beauty and Ugliness in the world’ through a philosophical film, scripted by Annick Renaud-Coulon, invited the attendees to reflect on What are we nurturing? What is Up to Us, Corporate University practitioners, to reduce ugly upheavals and to expand beauty in our world, why and what is at stake?

This film was produced by our talented Partner, Emre Gulecoglu from Oriento in Turkey.

Multicultural dialogue

At the end of the film Beauty and Ugliness in the world, the panellists from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, were invited – given the prism of their culture – to explore the role Corporate Universities play or could play to contribute to the resolution of systemic issues and to create development opportunities for People, Business, Society and the Planet.

Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director SDA Bocconi Asia Center, one of our gold partners, skillfully managed the very stimulating subject. The panel was composed of:

  • Rio Adrianto, Director of Executive Program at BSE, BUMN School of Excellence (Indonesia)
  • Meinrad Arnold, VP, Chief Enterprise Learning & Development Officer at Aptar (Germany)
  • Anuradha Dhamodaran, Head of talent management at TVS Motor Company (India)
  • Olumuyiwa Olulaja, Group head, Human Capital Management and Development at First Bank of Nigeria (Nigeria)
  • Tatiana Mara Ribeiro, Superintendente Nacional at Caixa Econômica Federal (Brazil)

Inside big corporate groups, or on their side, there exists entities which have immense power and responsibility in carrying certain social values and shaping culture. The corporate universities take care of L&D of Lakhs (hundreds of thousands) of employees and indirectly families. At this stage of history they have been invested with an even much bigger role. Corporate universities have to take up the responsibilities of social impact and gap, culture, ethical values, etc. It is a time of profound changes and corporate universities can really be drive of them in terms of skills and right (values) direction’. Alessandro Giuliani, SDA Bocconi Asia Center

World Cafe

From the glimse of the Beauty and Ugliness in the world film and the Multicultural Dialogue outcomes, attendees were invited to participate in a World Cafe facilitated by Anil Santhapuri.

Three essential questions were explored:

  • What are your greatest sources of optimism and faith in the future at work in the evolution of the world (social, sociological, technological, scientific, economic, climatic and geopolitical)?
  • What are your greatest sources of concern at work in the evolution of the world?
  • Which areas of action can Corporate Universities invest to help resolve the major sources of concern regarding the evolution of the world, and to share its faith in the future and in people?

Stream 2 – AI/GAI, a game changer for Corporate Universities

Corporate Universities are taking a closer look at the global technical shock that is Generative Artificial Intelligence. For the first time in human history, a machine can generate content (text, audio, images, video) better than humans and we can interact with a machine using our own natural language.

Robson Leite, General Manager of the outstanding Petrobras University in Brazil, the previous GlobalCCU best overall gold award winner in 2023, helped us to better understand how the AI/GAI revolution is a game-changer for Corporate Universities. After a brief presentation of his Corporate University, Robson addressed the following topics:

  • Generative AI from an ambidextrous management perspective
  • Experimentation as a Learning Practice in a rapidly changing world
  • Petrobras University as a promoter of Humanised Innovation
  • Guiding principles in the adoption of AI, among them, AI as assistance and not replacement, an expansion of human capacity (Content, Didactics and Communication), AI as an opportunity to be more human and less operational.

Exploration of advantages and risks of AI/GAI expected by Corporate Universities

A very lively and passionate debate on the pros and cons of the impact of GAI on Corporate Universities involving all the delegates took place after Robson’s testimony. Everyone was encouraged to reflect and be vocal on this far-reaching topic and that’s exactly what they did!

The pros

The cons

What a debate!

Action plans

With the help of Anil Santhapuri, the delegates were encouraged to produce high-quality outcomes at the end of the day in the form of an Action Plan that could be exploited in the future.

2025 GlobalCCU Award Ceremony

Annick was delighted to co-chair the prestigious Award Ceremony with Michel de Rosen, Chairman of the Board at Forvia, France, who gave a stimulating speech to begin the festivities entitled, ‘Who will win the war between I and We?’.

The 22 impressive Corporate Universities that performed at the highest level of excellence and created value for People, Business, Society and the Planet were presented with an iconic GlobalCCU trophy by our partners on stage, or through a streaming link during the evening.

Partner’s learning session

AI in Learning: The Upside Down by Prof. Gianluca Salviotti, Director of the DEVO Lab, the Centre of research on Innovation in collaboration with the MIT, Bocconi (Italy)

As generative AI becomes embedded in executive education, are we ignoring the darker side of the disruption? In this candid and provocative session, we’ll explore how hallucinations, algorithmic bias, ethical blind spots, and data compliance risks are reshaping—not always positively—the way learning is designed, delivered, and consumed. Drawing on real-world failures and corporate case studies, we’ll look at how the promise of AI can become a peril if governance, critical thinking, and human oversight are left behind. ‘Are we teaching our leaders to think critically, or just faster?

GlobalCCU Future forward

The GlobalCCU CU Certification is the way to excellence for Corporate Universities

The GlobalCCU CU Certification is a learning and improving journey, the highest global recognition of the existence, the reliability, and the level of maturity, of performance and excellence of a Corporate University, delivered at the end of a deep and gradual assessment process by renowned experts.

Shivaprasad MN, General Manager TVS-IQL, TVS Motor Company (India) presented the path taken by his Corporate University since 2018 until today, through the GlobalCCU CU Certification and how the both Compliance and Performance levels helped them to transformed TVS-IQL from a training centre to a powerful and influential Corporate University within its ecosystem, for the success of TVS Motor strategies and also for the richness of the quality of life at work and living together. Shivaprasad gave a unique testimony on this journey in which he was very involved and the impact that he and his team were able to measure on the steering and management of TVS-IQL, on its outcomes, brand and their Corporate brand.
